I grew up in Ontario before heading to university in Ohio. While there I studied Art Education with a focus in Ceramics and fell in love with making in clay, so much so, I went on to study Ceramic Design at the Glasgow School of Art for a semester before graduating in 2008. I then pursued a Post Graduate Diploma in Ceramics at the Dundas Valley School of Art. Currently, I reside in Collingwood, Ontario working full-time in my studio.
My work, whether functional or sculptural, explores the Canadian landscape, a result of growing up in the Canadian wilderness. With reference to folk art, I use graphic images and abstractions to help depict moments of wonderment found in nature.
